Engine & Performance


This 911 Carrera is powered by a 3.6L flat-six engine producing 272 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque. Power is transferred through a smooth 6-speed manual transmission. The 993 was the first generation of the 911 to have a 6-speed manual transmission included as standard; its predecessors had 4 or 5-speed transmissions.


1995 Porsche 993's are very desirable as they are the first year of the 993 and the last year of the OBDI electronics which means no "Check Engine" light and other electronic issues that came with the early generations of the OBDII electronics, which began in the 1996 models of the Porsche 993.
